On December 6, next bureau meeting of the Division of Biological and Medical Sciences of ANAS has been held.

     First of all academician-secretary of Division, academician Ahliman Amiraslanov informed the participants about the issues on the agenda.

     Deputy director of the Institute of Microbiology, correspondent member of ANAS Panah Muradov's report on "Biologically active substances of mushroom origin: producers, synthesis, application areas and perspectives" was listened. Following the discussions, the division decided to present the report to the Presidium.

     Then the implementation of the tasks set out in the Decision of the General Assembly of ANAS on "Scientific and scientific-organizational activity of ANAS Presidium for 2017 and forthcoming tasks" dated 8 June 2018 was discussed. It was noted that a number of works have been done in this direction in accordance with the action plan, and other projects have been developed.

      The next issue on the agenda was related to the implementation of the relevant decision of the Presidium of ANAS "On taking some urgent measures arising from the Agreement on Intentions of September 27, 2018" between the ANAS and the Ministry of Agriculture. Director of the Institute of Genetic Resources, correspondent member of ANAS Zeynal Akperov drew attention to the measures taken in this direction in the scientific institutions of the department. The Section has given instructions.

      Relevant decisions were made on the current situation of Internet sites of BMSD and relevant institutions, the active participation of ANAS professors in the work of the unit, the activities of the base chairs in the BMSD scientific institutions.
