Basic scientific achievements

The leadering role of photosynthetic apparatus is conditional upon of pigment-protein complexes behavior , which stability is disturb in first turn under all investigated stress situations ,by sensitivity of  oxygen-evolving system (OES) of chloroplasts and vulnerability of photosynthetic         structures formation. The absence of olygomer, dimer and light-harvesting complex (LHC) during 24 and 48h of metals action are observed, although the apoprotein on this electrophoretic zone is present. Given metals, probably, disturb of chlorohyll (Chl)  formation and accumulation processes that results in infringement of photosystems cooperation. At the presnce of metal ions in the growth medium at concentration 10-3 М the increasing of monomer forms of LHC with simultaneous decreasing its oligomeric and dimeric forms was shown. The accumulation of sufficient amount of chlorophyll-protein complexes (CPC) with low molecular weight under treatment of thylakoid membrane by metals is evidenced about monomerization of  LHC. It is, on our opinion, universal processes of protection thylakoid membrane from stress. To take off an oxidative stresses the extracts of sage leaves (Salvia officinalis L), liquorice roots (Radix glycyrrhizae), leaves of relict plant  Danae racemosa from Azerbaijanian flora were applied. The investigation of heavy metals ions action on electron-transport chain Co2+ and Ni2+  display toxic effects at the pH dependent form and interact with acceptor side also. Al3+, Zn2+  and Mn2+  ions influense components on the acceptor side of PS II. Herewith Al3+ and Mn2+ toxic effects are manifested only in acidic pH.
