The article “Crystalline structure and hirshfeld surface analysis of 7-((6-hydroxy-2,5,5,8a-tetramethyl-1,4,4a,5,6,7,8,8a-Octahydronaphthalen-1-yl)methoxy)-2h-chromen-2-one Isolated from ferula persica roots: a new enantiomorph at 100k” co-authored by scientists of the Institutes of Botany, Elvin Karimli, doctor of philosophy in pharmacy, doctors of biological sciences, professor Sayyara Ibadullayeva and associate professor Adila Alasgarova was published in the journal “Вестник фармации” with an impact factor included in the Web of Science platform of the Medical University of Belarus.

As a result of the research, the roots of the rare species of Ferula persica (Persian asafoetida), which was included in the 3rd edition of the Red Book of Azerbaijan, were phytochemically studied and the mass of sticky resinous substances was obtained from its ethanol extract.

The article mentions that in the previous literature, the study of the structure of this substance was carried out at room temperature, but its new enantiomorph was determined by the authors for the first time.

Ex situ seed propagation of the medicinally important rare species Ferula persica has been ensured, as well as the locations of micro-reserves have been designated for its conservation in nature.
