| Basic scientific achievements | A synopsis of the flora of the Yenikend waterbasin was compiled, the distribution of 316 genera and 594 species belonging to 81 families was confirmed, the bioecological characteristics of taxa were studied, and their distribution patterns were determined. An ecobiomorphological analysis of the flora was conducted. By geographically analyzing the species in the flora of the area, 86 classes were identified, which fall into 9 areal types. The statuses of rare and endemic species were determined. Based on the geobotanical and ecological study of the vegetation of the area, 4 types (semi-desert, shrubland, water-swamp, oasis), 4 formation classes, 8 formation groups, 8 formations and 21 associations were identified. As a result of the molecular analyses conducted, high genetic polymorphism was detected between the cluster and principal component analysis methods applied based on RAPD markers and the wormwood samples of Azerbaijani origin. For the first time, a route map of the area studied was prepared using QGIS software, and the vegetation spread in that area was deciphered using the Remote Sensing method. | |
