Basic scientific achievements

In 2011, a herbarium and seed fund consisting of trees and shrubs included in the dendroflora of Azerbaijan was established. (Published in the press, Annual report accepted)

In 2011, the taxonomic composition and bioecological characteristics of about 300 species of plants in 96 families of some trees and shrubs distributed in the Guba, Gusar, Khachmaz regions of Azerbaijan were investigated, herbariums of trees and shrubs and herbaceous plants (800 pieces) and seed samples of about 160 species in various development phases were collected, systematically analyzed and added to the newly established “Herbarium and Seed” fund. In 2012, samples of trees and shrubs in natural and cultural conditions in the regions of Lankaran, Lerik, Masalli, etc. were collected and added to the herbarium and seed fund. (Published in the press, Annual report accepted)

In 2013, a comparative analysis of tree and shrub species in natural and cultural conditions was carried out in the Greater and Lesser Caucasus. Herbarium specimens of 65 species of rare plants belonging to the flora of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic were prepared, and 1250 herbarium specimens of plants developed in natural and cultural conditions in various phases of development of about 300 species were prepared. In 2014, herbariums were prepared by collecting 850 specimens of up to 90 species of natural tree and shrub plants from the forest areas of Shamakhi and Ismayilli regions, Shahdag and Goy-gol National Parks, and 110 specimens of 48 natural plant species from the areas of Gala, Zira, and Pirallahi. In total, 960 herbarium specimens were added to the fund. (Published in the press, Annual report accepted)

In 2015, seeds and herbarium materials were collected in the territories of Hirkan, Shirvan, Goy-gol, Shahdag National Parks. (Published in the press, Annual report accepted)

In 2016, seeds and herbarium materials were collected from Altiyagach, Qizlagach National Parks, Pirgulu and Ismayilli Nature Reserves, samples were prepared and added to the fund. (Annual report accepted)

In 2017, tree and shrub plants were studied from Zagatala, Ilisu, Eldar Shamy State Nature Reserves and Asrik Gorge of Tovuz district, seeds and herbarium materials were procured and samples were added to the fund. (Published in the press, Annual report accepted)

In 2018, seed and herbarium samples of tree and shrub plants of Zagatala-Balakan zone are collected and added to the fund. (Published in the press, Annual report accepted)

In 2019, seed and herbarium samples of trees and shrubs of the Zuvand, Qizilja, Kichik Qizilaghac, Korchay State Nature Reserves were collected and added to the fund. (Annual report accepted)

In 2020, seed and herbarium samples of trees and shrubs of the border areas of the Talysh Mountains were added to the fund. (Published in the press, Annual report accepted)

In 2020, the taxonomic composition of the Botanical Garden of ADA University was analyzed and a catalog of the garden was prepared. (Published in the press, Annual report accepted)

In 2023, a research work was conducted in the liberated territories under the leadership of Hasanova Minara Yunis gizi, and the impact of climate change on the dendroflora of the Okchuchay area of the Zangilan region was investigated. (Published in the press, Annual report accepted)

In 2024, the impact of climate change on the formation and association of Zagatala forest vegetation, the distribution area of forest-forming tree species on the southern slope of the Greater Caucasus (Gabala region), and the impact of climate change on the dendroflora of the Okchuchay area of the Zangilan region were investigated. In 2024, scientific research was conducted on the assessment of the reserves of dominant and subdominant species and ecosystems in the forest ecosystems of the Eastern Zangilan region, the impact of climate change on the dendroflora of the Zangilan region (Lesser Caucasus) forest area, and the analysis of the dendroflora of the southeastern slope of the Caucasus. In 2025, impact of climate change on dendroflora of forest area of Zangilan region assessment of dominant and subdominant species reserves and ecosystems in forest ecosystems of East Zangezur region.

Under his leadership and initiative: In 2022-2025, in a 7.59-hectare experimental area in the Saray settlement of Absheron region, nearly 100,000 different types of trees and shrubs were propagated through seeds and cuttings with the aim of expanding biodiversity, restoring the gene pool and sustainable use of forest areas.
