Institute of Botany became the winner of the tender announced by Azerkosmos OJSC

ANAS Institute of Botany became the winner of the competition on "Encouragement of Remote Surveillance Services for the Earth's Surface" announced by Azerkosmos OJSC.

The scientific institution took part in the contest with the project "Compilation of electronic maps of vegetation cover of coastal ecosystems in the middle part of the Western Caspian Sea (within the borders of Azerbaijan - the Caspian border of Muganly, Gobustan, Sangachal and Nabran) and the creation of an integral GIS anthropogenic impact", implemented under the leadership of Academician Valida Alizadeh.

Within the framework of the winning project, Azerkosmos OJSC will submit to the Institute the latest aerospace images and electronic maps of Azerbaijan. Employees of the institute will also conduct field research and the necessary research.
