90 years have passed since the birth of Vahid Hajiyev, a famous botanist, recognized both in our country and in the international scientific community, a talented teacher, doctor of biological sciences, awarded the Order “Shohrat”, who had headed the Institute of Botany of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) for many years (1988-2008). The staff of the Institute of Botany commemorated the glorious memory of a famous scientist, buried in the second alley of honor. 
     Wreaths and bouquets of flowers were laid in front of the grave.
