On November 23, the next meeting of the Bureau of Biological and Medical Sciences Division  of ANAS has been held.

     Academician-secretary of the department, academician Ahliman Amiraslanov, members of the bureau, heads of scientific institutions attended the event.

     First, academician Ahliman Amiraslanov informed the participants about the agenda of the meeting. A. Amiraslanov has interested in the state of scientific and scientific-organizational activity of scientific institutions of the department for 2018.

     Then Director of the Institute of Genetic Resources, correspondent member of ANAS Zeynal Akperov drew attention to the reference of the        Commission on studying the scientific and scientific-organizational reforms carried out in the Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry (ISSA), according to the order of academician Akif Alizadeh.

     Director of ISSA, correspondent member of ANAS Alovsat Guliyev informed about the projects and reform plans of the scientific institution.

     Later correspondent member of ANAS Nuru Bayramov spoke about the publication of "Dictionary of Oncology Terms".

    The next scientific-organizational issue was related to the changes in the structure of the Scientific Councils of the Institute of Zoology and Genetic Resources and the structure of the Dendrology Institute.

    Academician Ahliman Amiraslanov presented the honorary decree of the Department of Biology and Medical Sciences to Head of the Land Reclamation Laboratory, PhD in agrarian sciences assist. Prof. Farhad Sadigov on the occasion of the 70th anniversary. It was also decided to hold the 80th anniversary of Professor Akif Garayzadeh, Chief Scientific researcher of the Institute of Soil Physics Laboratory.

     At the end of the meeting, the sides exchanged views on the personnel issues of the several scientific institutions included in the division and made relevant decisions.
