The State Hermitage is presenting the exhibition “Brush and Kalam” marking the 200th anniversary of the Asiatic Museum – the Institute of Oriental Manuscripts RAS – one of the largest collections of Oriental manuscripts in the world in St. Petersburg.

     The opening of the exhibition was attended by a delegation led by ANAS President Akif Alizadeh.

     The exhibition presents over 200 exhibits: manuscripts and woodcuts from the collection of the Institute of Oriental Manuscripts of the Russian Academy of Sciences, as well as material culture monuments from the State Hermitage Museum collection related to the production and existence of the book.

     The main exhibit is Muracca, a collection of calligraphy and miniatures of Persian and Indian artists.
