Professor of Kuban State University, corresponding member of RAS, S.A.Litvinskaya visited the Institute of Botany of ANAS. The meeting was attended by academician Valida Alizade, director of the Institute of Botany of ANAS, Dr. Naiba Mehdiyeva, Head of Laboratory of Ecosystem Phytosociology who gave broad information to the guest about the scientific-research directions, international relations, joint projects and rehabilitation works. The guest got acquainted with the laboratories supplied with modern equipment, the Museum of Botany and Herbarium Foundation. She was also informed about the activities for inclusion of herbarium samples of local and foreign flora stored in the Herbarium Foundation to the European Database and World Flora. Highly assesing the modern condition and collaboration prospects of the Institute of Botany S.Litvinskaya noted that there are great opportunities for interorganizational experience exchange and study of forest ecosystems.

S.Litvinskaya delievered her lecture on «О сохранении природных ресурсов прибрежной зоны Азовского моря для восстановления естесственной среды обитания Приазовья» and «Биоразнообразие флоры и растительности Северо-западного Кавказа» in the workshop organized with the participation of Institute employees. The workshop continued with wide discussions on the presented topics and different botanical problems.
