ANAS President, academician Akif Alizadeh met with responsible staff of ANAS Presidium on May 7.
Academician Akif Alizadeh spoke on results of the last meeting of ANAS last week. The meeting was attended by heads of various state institutions and higher education institutions, ANAS active and corresponding members, directors of institutes and organizations. Academician Akif Alizadeh noted that, the report was highly appreciated by members of ANAS and the scientific community.
ANAS head noted the importance of the results achieved in the field of innovation and multidisciplinary research conducted last year at Academy, the integration of science and education, highly skilled personnel training, development of international scientific relations and coordination of scientific research, which is the driving force of science development.
ANAS President said that, today Academy has made a confident step towards sustainable development goals of the globalized world.
Academician Akif Alizadeh noted that, AR President Ilham Aliyev always supported the scientific community and reminded that, last year AR President signed a number of Ordes and Decrees on science.
Akif Alizadeh spoke on the activity of the ANAS High Technology Park, established by the Order of AR President Ilham Aliyev. He noted that the park has expanded its activities, where he achieved significant results in the development of innovative products and high technologies, as well as products of strategic importance and the application of research results.
Academician also spoke about the international scientific relations of ANAS during 2018. He noted that, cooperation with scientific institutions of a number of foreign countries is continuing at a high level, important documents have been signed, mutual visits are organized and such events are important factors in the development of science diplomacy.
Academician Akif Alizadeh said that, the main task is to continue the work at a stronger performance.
In the end of event ANAS President expressed his gratitude to the staff of the Presidium, who participated in the organization of the General Meeting of Academy and wished success in their activities.
