Leading research fellow of the Laboratory of Genome structure and expression, PhD in biology Ulkar Faig Ibrahimova was on a scientific trip at the Department of Plant Physiology and Genetics of the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra, Slovakia from 03.08.2019 to 01.10.2019. The visit took place in the framework of the project “Use of advanced phenomic approaches to exploit variation in photosynthetic efficiency to increase yield under fluctuating and stress environment”. During her visit U. Ibrahimova in addition to conducted experiments on the determination of drought and salt resistance of genotypes of Triticum aestivum L., she mastered a number of molecular analysis methods (DNA, RNA and micro-RNA extraction, polyadenylation and synthesis reactions of cDNA, electrophoresis in agarose and polyacrylamide gels,PCR and  qRT-PCR reactions). U. Ibrahimova discussed future scientific meetings and participation in projects with employees of the Department of Plant Physiology and Genetics.
