On July 9, an extraordinary meeting of the Presidium of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences took place.

The event was attended by the President of ANAS, Academician Ramiz Mehdiyev, members of the Presidium, the head of the staff of the Presidium and relevant persons.

The meeting was opened by the President of ANAS, Academician Ramiz Mehdiyev.

Then Academician-Secretary of ANAS Academician Arif Hashimov informed about the scientific and organizational issues of the agenda.

Corresponding member Rafig Gasimov was awarded the Honorary Diploma of the Academy on the occasion of the 90th anniversary.

The meeting discussed the tasks of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev at the second summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in the field of science and technology.
