November 12 - Constitution Day of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Today 26 years have passed since the adoption of the Constitution of Azerbaijan.

The first Constitution of independent Azerbaijan, prepared under the leadership of the great leader HeydarAliyev, was adopted on November 12, 1995 through a nationwide vote (referendum). The Basic Law of the State entered into force on November 27, 1995.
