The first meeting of the Scientific Council for Scientific Innovations and Alternative Energy Technologies of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences was held on November 23.

The event was attended by members of the Presidium of ANAS, members of the Scientific Council for Scientific Innovations and Alternative Energy Technologies and relevant persons.

Opening the event, President of ANAS, Academician RamizMehdiyev spoke about the importance of the Scientific Council and touched upon a number of priority issues.

Academician RamizMehdiyev sharply criticized the serious violations of law, corruption and chaos revealed in the recent inspections of the Academy’s research institutions, and stressed the importance of resolving the problems as soon as possible.

He noted that certain conditions have been created for scientists to engage in purely scientific work and a number of necessary steps will be taken for this purpose.
