The book “Healing plants of cardiovascular diseases” co-authored by Director General of the Institute of Dendrology, corresponding member of ANAS Tofig Mammadov and Dr. associate professor Ramiz Alakbarov has been published.

The book summarized the distribution of 37 species of medicinal plants in Azerbaijan, which differ sharply from each other due to different traits and characteristics, soil-climatic conditions and cultivation, their botanical and ecological features, phytochemical composition, benefits, early signs of diseases, complications and treatment, specific recipes for the use of extracts in medicine.

The publication can be used by researchers, teachers, medical college students, independent doctors and people with cardiovascular diseases.
