A commemorative event dedicated to the 32nd anniversary of the January 20 tragedy was held at the Institute of Botany of ANAS.

First, the victims of the tragedy were commemorated with a minute of silence. Opening the event, the general director of the Institute, doctor of biological sciences, prof. Sayyara Ibadullayeva emphasized that the January 20 tragedy, written in blood in the memory of our people, is one of the most glorious heroic pages of our modern history. She said that the massacre committed against the civilian population fighting for the freedom and territorial integrity of our country did not break the will of our people to fight, but played a big role in our solidarity around the idea of independence.

 At the end of the event, employees of the institute visited the Alley of Martyrs in honor of the victims of the tragedy, laid flowers at their graves and prayed for their souls.
