Scientists participated in the “The First Interdisciplinary Sustainable Food System Forum along Silk Road Countries”

General Director of the Institute of Botany, doctor of biological sciences, professor Sayyara Ibadullayeva and Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists, PhD Aydan Husuyeva participated in the “The First Interdisciplinary Sustainable Food System Forum along Silk Road Countries” organized by the College of Arts of the Xi'an University of Architecture and Technology of China. The international forum held on the Zoom platform was co-chaired by Yufeng Han, College of Art, Xi 'an University of Architecture and Technology and Zeyuan Wang, Dalla Lana School of Public Health, University of Toronto. The purpose of the forum was to increase cooperation and exchange of information on sustainable food systems in countries located along the Silk Road. Specialists from different countries participated in the event and gave presentations on the topics of food culture and history, sustainable food systems, transformation of the food system and the use of traditional foods.

S. Ibadullayeva and A. Husuyeva gave a presentation on “Traditional wild food plants of Azerbaijan” and were awarded a certificate.
