This plant is recorded for the first time for the flora of Azerbaijan in the eastern part of the Greater Caucasus, around Griz-Dahna village of Guba region, in the vegetation of the subalpine zone. During the designation of the species, it was confirmed by specialists as an endemic species of the Caucasus and at the same time as a subendemic species of Azerbaijan, and thus one more species was added to the number of national endemics of Azerbaijan.

It should be noted that this species is on the list of endemic plants of Dagestan.
