The book "Traditional folk medicine of Azerbaijanis" by Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor Sayyara Ibadullayeva, General Director of the Institute of Botany MSERA, has been published.
The book was compiled within the framework of the scientific research program "Prospects for the use of medicinal plants widespread in the flora of Azerbaijan".
The book reflects information on traditional folk medicine practices of medicinal plants collected from the flora of Azerbaijan as a result of ethnobotanical research and used against various diseases. This information was collected over time from the displaced people of Western Azerbaijan, including the Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur communities, who were refugees for 30 years.
The scientific editor of the book is Professor Munir Ozturk, and the reviewers are Professor Nazim Mammadov and Dr. Ilhama Jafarli.
The book is an important source for familiarizing a wide audience with the methods of traditional medicine of Azerbaijan.
