The book “Orchidaceae of the Azerbaijan’s Flora (Orchidaceae Juss.)” by, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor Aydin Askerov, Head of the Department of Systematics and Phylogeny of Higher Plants of the Institute of Botany, MSERA has been published. The book concerns the intraspecific systematics of the family Orchidaceae of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The work reflects the systematic, morphobiological and ecogeographical analysis of 55 species, 10 subspecies and 5 hybrid species belonging to 22 genera, grouped into 5 subfamilies, 4 tribes and 9 sections, distributed in the wild flora of Azerbaijan.In addition to the determination keys of genera and species, the modern nomenclature of each taxon, nomenclatural types, morphological characteristics, distribution in Azerbaijan, geographical types, original photographs, as well as the characteristics of rare and endangered species are provided. The book is intended for specialists and university students in the fields of biology and ecology, especially in the systematics and phylogeny of higher plants.
