Today, an event dedicated to the 5th anniversary of Victory Day was held at the Institute of Botany, MSERA.

 First, the employees of the Institute paid tribute to the dear memory of the sons of the Motherland who sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan in the Second Alley of Martyrs on the occasion of Victory Day.

 The National Anthem was performed at the event and the dear memory of our martyrs was commemorated with a minute of silence.

 The event was opened by the Institute's Director General, Professor Sayyara Ibadullayeva, who congratulated the staff on the glorious and proud Victory Day. Professor Sayyara Ibadullayeva emphasized that the great victory achieved by the brave Azerbaijani Army on November 8, under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Victorious Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev, and the liberation of the city Shusha from occupation are unique military operations that will go down in world military history. She noted that by the Presidential Decree December 3, 2020, November 8 is annually celebrated in our country as Victory Day to commemorate this unparalleled victory, which has become a celebration of our people's might and national pride.

At the event, the Institute’s staff—Executive Director Professor Shakir Gasimov, Professor Aydin Askerov, Professor Eldar Novruzov, Professor Dilzara Aghayeva, Associate Professor Parvana Garakhani, and the Scientific Secretary, Associate Professor Nigar Mursal gizi—shared their memories of Victory Day, the victory of our army, and the struggle of our people and youth.
