Elnara Isgandarli, a doctoral student at the Institute of Botany PLE under the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, took part in the "Certification Program on Scientometrics" held in Belgrade, Republic of Serbia. The program was jointly organized by the State Agency for Science and Higher Education and the company "Clarivate," and took place from July 20–24, 2026.
The five-day program brought together 18 employees working in the field of scientometrics from various higher education institutions and scientific research institutes of Azerbaijan.
Within the framework of the program, participants were provided with theoretical and practical knowledge in the areas of international scientific communication, scientometric analysis, monitoring of scientific activity, and evaluation of institutions' academic performance indicators.
During the training sessions, the application of platforms and tools such as "Web of Science," "InCites," "Journal Citation Reports," "EndNote," "ProQuest Central," "Research Horizon Navigator," and "Research Assistant" in evaluating scientific activity and conducting scientometric analyses was explained. Participants had the opportunity to complete practical assignments on each topic.
At the end of the program, participants were presented with international certificates by the company "Clarivate."
