Corresponding member of ANAS Valida Alizadeh took part in the meeting of IPBES in Turkey

Director of the Institute of Botany, corresponding member of ANAS Valida Alizadeh was on scientific mission in Antalya, Turkey.

Valida Alizadeh as a leading expert took part in the regular meeting of workers to conduct work on the documentation in the framework of the regional assessment of the Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform (IPBES) on biodiversity and ecosystem services in Europe and Central Asia, created under the auspices of UNEP, UNESCO, FAO and UNDP.

Main directions of activity of IPBES - strengthening the science-policy interface on biodiversity, ecosystem functions and ecosystem services at the regional and subregional levels. Estimates, potential critical points of interaction will allow to analyze the state of knowledge on the interaction between man and nature.

Note that, V.Alizadeh for 3 years (2015-2017) will act as a leading expert on of IPBES on assessment of biodiversity and ecosystem services in Europe and Central Asia regions.
