Presidium of ANAS held a meeting with Iranian representatives of the VI Baku International Humanitarian Forum on October 26.
President of ANAS, academician Akif Alizadeh informed the guests about the history of creation and the main activities of the institution. He spoke about the significance of the international platform for a broad discussion of the most important issues related to humanitarian cooperation and noted that the forum makes a significant contribution to the deepening of regional ties.
The head of ANAS referred to the Convention on the Status of the Caspian Sea and said that the document opens up opportunities for joint research with the countries of the region and the implementation of joint scientific programs.
The President of the ECO Institute of Culture, Professor Mohammed Mehdi Mazahiri, Director General of the State News Agency IRNA Seyid Zia Hashemi and Iranian parliamentarian Masuma Agapur Alishahi expressed gratitude for the hospitality and high level of organization of the forum, and noted the need to publish articles reflecting the work of Azerbaijani scientists in famous scientific journals of Iran.
The meeting was attended by the Vice-President of ANAS, Academician Guliyev Ibrahim, head of the Office of International Relations of the Presidium, PhD in Biology Esmira Alirzayeva.
