Within the framework of international collaboration the article “Labdane and Abietanediterpenoids from Juniperusoblanga and their cytotoxic activity” obtained from the plant Juniperusoblongapreparedby academician ValidaAlizade, Director of the Institute of Botany of ANAS together with co-authors from different countries (China, USA, Georgia) was published in the high impact factor journal “Molecules”.

      Using a broad spectroscopic technique and chemical means, the structure of a previously undescribedditerpenoid was isolated and determined. Isolated compounds were evaluated for their cytotoxic activity against three human tumor cell lines. This is the first information about isolated diterpenoids derived from the species J. oblonga. In addition, for the first time 5 more compounds of the genus Juniperus were reported.
