Samira Rustamova, the leading research fellow of Bioadaptation laboratory, PhD in Biology, associate professor was the winner of  the competition “Completion of post-doctoral scientific researches of ANAS scientists in Europe” and she was on a scientific trip at the department of Plant Genetics and Biotechnology at the Institute of Crop Science and Resource Conservation (INRES) of Bonn University for 3 months. S.Rustamova conducted research on the role of DREB transcription factors in regulating expression of drought-resistant genes of wheat genotypes under the leadership of Dr.Ali Ahmed Naz at the Laboratory of Molecular Breeding. Currently, serious research is being conducted to identify and describe transcription factors involved in the stress-specific regulation of genes around the world. Transcription factors are a powerful tool for gene engineering, as they lead to the regulation of all genes under their expression control. S.M.Rustamova obtained interesting results for science during her research.
