Director of the Institute of Botany of ANAS academician Valida Alizadeh attended in the international conference "Innovations and Traditions in Contemporary Botany" in St. Petersburgh at the invitation of Professor Dmitriy Geltman, director of the Institute of Botany after V.I. Komarov, Russian Academy of Sciences.

The international event is dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the outstanding historian of botanical science, academician Vladimir Komarov.

At the conference, V. Alizadeh's report on “Biodiversity and Evaluation of Ecosystem Services in Azerbaijan” was welcomed by the participants.

Azerbaijani scientist also actively participated in scientific discussions.
