A meeting was held between the rector of Baku State University (BSU) Elchin Babayev and head of the Bionanotechnology Laboratory of the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology of ANAS and Laboratory of Controlled Photobiosynthesis of the Institute of Physiology of the Russian Academy of Sciences, a senior researcher at the Institute of Fundamental Biological Problems of the Russian Academy of Sciences, professor at Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov and Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, Suleyman Allahverdiyev.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the prospects of the scientific areas of photosynthesis, physiology, biophysics, biochemistry, molecular biology and nanobiotechnology, as well as the development of cooperation in these areas.
Rector E. Babayev noted that the results of S. Allahverdiyev’s research on plant physiology and biochemistry, photosynthesis and nanotechnology are regularly published in reputable journals, and the scientist’s scientific achievements are internationally recognized.
He noted that S. Allahverdiyev, a member of the editorial board of leading international journals, was awarded the Scopus Awards and Web of Science as the most quoted biologist in the field of biology for his contribution to the development of science in Russia and abroad over the past two years.
S. Allahverdiyev expressed interest in establishing and developing cooperation in the areas under discussion.
In conclusion, discussions took place and a number of suggestions were issued.
