The delegation headed by the director of the Center for Agricultural Science and Innovation of the Ministry of Agriculture, PhD in Agricultural Sciences Imran Jumshudov visited the Institute of Genetic Resources of ANAS.

In a meeting with the director of the IGR, corresponding member of ANAS Zeynal Akparov, issues of joint fundamental and applied research between the two institutions, as well as the organization of conferences and seminars were discussed.

Z. Akparov informed that the scientific institution headed by him has signed agreements and implemented joint projects with the research institutes of agriculture, vegetable growing, horticulture, tea growing, animal husbandry, veterinary medicine and other Ministry of Agriculture.

Then the heads of the departments of the IGR made their proposals for cooperation with the relevant institutions of the ministry.

Speaking at the meeting, I. Jumshudov said that there are ample opportunities for cooperation between the parties. He said it is planned to create new varieties with IGR scientists that meet the requirements of the labor market.

In conclusion, it was decided to create a Coordinating Council for joint research and development of targeted projects.
