Turkish scientist Serhat Tozbur has patented a device designed to facilitate the diagnosis of diseases in
difficult areas of the eye.
The doctor started research on "biophotonics" and "optical imaging" with the support of TUBITAK.
Noting that various methods are still used to visualize the fundus and retina, S. Tozburun said that the existing system limits the speed of vision and causes the patient to stay in the device longer. "Due to the patients involuntary movements and body movements, it is inevitable that there will be blurring in the images to be used for diagnosis and treatment. If we get high-quality images, the diagnosis of diseases of the retina and difficult areas of the eye is accurate. "I believe that the method I have developed will revolutionize the examination of difficult areas of the eye".
