An online meeting was held on January 7 to discuss cooperation within the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences and Lahore State College of Pakistan.

The meeting was attended by Doctor of Philosophy in Physics, associate professor Rustam Rustamov, Head of the Scientific-Organizational Department of the Presidium, Doctor of Philosophy in Biology, associate professor Esmira Alirzayeva, Head of the International Scientific Cooperation Department and Malahat Gurbanova, chief specialist of that department, Professor Riaz Ahmed, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Mathematics and Physical Sciences, Professor Ahmed Adnan, Dean of the Faculty of Chemistry and Natural Sciences,  Professor Tehreema Iftixar, Chairman of the Department of Botany,Professor Saima Iram, Chairman of the Urdu Department and associate professor Hafiz Hayder Ali, director of Academic Planning and Foreign Relations.  

The parties provided detailed information on the structure, scientific potential, activities, international relations and achievements of the organizations they represent. The meeting focused on the implementation of joint research, the establishment of centers of excellence, the exchange of personnel and experience. Proposals have been made to establish a working group for the effective organization of cooperation and to develop an action plan for joint research that will be of interest and cover priority areas for both parties.
