An event dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Khojaly tragedy was held at the Institute of Botany of ANAS.

First, the memory of the victims of the Khojaly tragedy was commemorated with a minute of silence. Opening the event, Dr. prof. Sayyara Ibadullayeva, general director of the Institute of Botany of ANAS spoke about the events that took place in Khojaly on the night of February 25-26 in 1992.

Noting that the Khojaly genocide is an unforgettable page for every Azerbaijani, she stressed the importance of continuous informing the world community about this tragedy.

Speaking about the glorious victory of the Azerbaijan Army in the 44-day war, she said that victims of Armenian vandalism were avenged.

The Institute staff shared their views on the Khojaly genocide.
