Opening the event, the head of the Department of International Scientific Cooperation, Doctor of Philosophy in Biology, Associate Professor Esmira Alirzayeva informed about the activities of the NSC. He said that the network organizes the delivery of information about the Horizon program to relevant enterprises, organizations and specialists across the country, as well as supports the more active use of the Horizon Europe program and the elimination of problems in a short time and effectively.Then, Tofig Babayev, National Coordinator for Digital, Industrial and Space Affairs, Head of the Foreign Relations Department of the Institute of Management Systems of ANAS, Doctor of Philosophy in Technology, made a presentation on "Perspectives on the Horizon Europe" program. He said that the goal of the European Commission's 9th Framework Program "Horizon Europe" is to raise research in the European Union to the level of the world's strongest scientific research, to ensure the competitiveness of European industry in the world, as well as to create new jobs for people. pointed out that.He also provided detailed information on the program's goals, innovations, new challenge mechanisms, ways to join the program and financial opportunities, and called on young researchers to be closely involved in international projects. Then Ilham Humbatov, Director of the Quality Assurance Department of the Agency for Quality Assurance in Education under the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, made a report on "Opportunities for Azerbaijani scientists under the COST program" at the European Research Center and COST Action.Humbatov said that the main task of the COST program is to provide researchers with networking opportunities in order to increase their ability to meet the scientific, technological and social challenges of Europe. He said that the program, which has been operating for almost 45 years, opens up great opportunities for Azerbaijani scientists to establish contacts with scientists from other European countries. I.Humbatov also gave detailed information about the rules of participation in COST, its advantages, existing projects and ways to apply, the achievements of Azerbaijani specialists in recent years. Zaur Hasanov, Executive Director of the Institute of Archeology and Ethnography of ANAS, Doctor of Philosophy in History, spoke about the activities of Maria Sklodovskaya Curie in this direction. Speaking about the main purpose of the program, he said that the scholarship program provides training for participants with a high level of scientific innovation and the creation of opportunities for knowledge exchange. He noted that the activities of Maria Sklodovskaya Curie include 5 different programs.The speaker also informed the participants about the opportunities of this program, innovations within the "Horizon Europe", the allocated budget, financial mechanisms, individual and collective exchange grants at the doctoral and postdoctoral levels, and ways to apply to them. Rovshan Karimov, Leading Researcher of the Institute of Geography of ANAS, Doctor of Philosophy in Geography, spoke on "Horizon Europe: design rules of project proposals" approaches, as well as the evaluation criteria of projects by experts. He stressed the importance of increasing the focus on the formation of ideas in the preparation of projects, the proper distribution of responsibilities, regular meetings and discussions with members of the consortium.Farid Seyfullayev, Doctor of Philosophy in Biology, Food, Bioeconomics, Natural Resources, Agriculture and Environment, also spoke at the event.
