Professor of Near East University of Turkey, Dr. Salih Yücel was a guest at the Institute of Botany. The detailed information about the institute's scientific research directions, international relations, implemented joint projects, IUCN assessment of plants on the red list was given to the guest in the last meeting with the general director of the institute, PhD in biology, professor Sayyara Ibadullayeva. Highly appreciating the prospects for cooperation between the institute, the guest stressed that in the future there are great opportunities for organizing joint projects on the study of biodiversity, conducting joint research, exchanging personnel and experience. The parties elaborated on the signing a memorandum of cooperation to expand scientific relations.
At the seminar, organized with the participation of the Institute staff, a report was made on the results of research work on the topics "Controversial issues of plant protection in the case of Delphinium caseyi B. L. Burtt." and "Reproductive biology of Minuartia nifensis Mc Neill, an endemic plant of subalpine vegetation of Western Anatolia (Turkey)". An extensive discussion took place on the presented topics and methods for assessing plants listed in the Red Book.
