A meeting was held at the Institute of Botany at the suggestion of the editorial board of the magazine "Azerbaijan School" of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The event was opened by the general director of the Institute of Botany, doctor of biological sciences, professor Sayyare Ibadullayeva, who expressed her satisfaction with the meeting.
The editor-in-chief of the magazine, Arzu Soltan, gave detailed information about the history of the magazine, its current activities and successes. He said that "Azerbaijan School" magazine is considered the longest-lived academic magazine in the history of our pedagogical press. The magazine, founded in 1924, was called "New School" until the 1930s, "Help for the Teacher" in 1930-1941, and was published under the name "Azerbaijani School" starting from 1943. He noted that the magazine, which will soon celebrate its 100th anniversary, played an important role in the development of the educational system in Azerbaijan, in the study and dissemination of advanced experience, in presenting the ideas and ideas of outstanding scientists to the society, and in the formation of scientific and pedagogical thinking.
Deputy editor-in-chief Nasreddin Musayev spoke about the history of the magazine. The speaker said that "Azerbaijani School" magazine has had unparalleled services in the development of education and pedagogical sciences in Azerbaijan, in staff training, in the promotion of pedagogical knowledge, and in publishing the works of classical pedagogues. 686 issues of this magazine, which is the closest assistant to educators, have been published so far only under the name "Azerbaijan school". Issues of Azerbaijani folk pedagogy, ethnopedagogy, ethnopsychology, enlightened ideas, researches about our school history, ideas of progressive intellectuals and thinkers of our nation about education and training were published for the first time in this pedagogical press. He noted that the magazine "Azerbaijan School" is among the publications recommended by the Higher Attestation Commission of the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as recognized in a number of international indexes.
In the end, S. Ibadullayeva said that the "Azerbaijan School" magazine, prepared according to modern requirements, is of great importance in terms of integrating science into education. The scientist drew attention to the necessity of publishing articles related to relevant scientific research and the application of the results of scientific research in the educational process in this journal. He emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation between the Institute of Botany and the magazine "Azerbaijan School».
In the event, with the participation of the executive director of the Institute, doctor of biological sciences, associate professor Shakir Gasimov, doctor of biological sciences, associate professor Aydin Askerov,phd in biology, associate professor Rashad Salimov, the chairman of the Council of Young Scientist and Specialists Aydan Zeynalova and others, ideas were exchanged on the possibilities of joint cooperation, publication of scientific articles and other issues.
