With the organization of the Azerbaijan representative office of the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) and the Institute of Zoology of the Ministry of Science and Education, trainings have been started to evaluate the species to be included in the 3rd edition of the "Red Book" of the Republic of Azerbaijan according to the categories and criteria of the Red List of the International Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources (IUCN).

The training is conducted by IUCN commission member, ecologist PhD Andrew Rodrigues. Members of the working groups of various organizations (Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, Institutes of Zoology and Botany) participating in the preparation of the 3rd edition of the "Red Book" take part in the training.
