Representatives of the International Dendrology Foundation Ph.D. Debreczy Zsolt  and Ph.D. Istvan Racz were guests at the Institute of Botany of the Ministry of Science and Education of the AR. The General Director of the Institute of Botany, doctor of biological sciences, Professor Sayyara Ibadullayeva, Executive Director, doctor of biological sciences, Shakir Gasimov, and Head of the International Relations Department Elnara Orujova participated at the meeting. The guests were given extensive information about the institute's scientific research directions, international relations, implemented joint projects, the preparation of the III Red Book of Azerbaijan, as well as the taxonomic composition of the flora of Azerbaijan and the use of useful medicinal, essential, technical and fodder plants.

The guests gave detailed information about the "International Dendrology Foundation" and noted that the foundation was established in 1995 and has been operating as a non-profit organization since 2000. The main goal of the foundation is to promote the spread of natural science education, professional and applied botany education. One of the main areas of activity is the preparation of the World Tree Atlas (Dendrological Atlas).

The parties discussed several issues related to establishing scientific cooperation relations, joint research on biodiversity study in Azerbaijan, and the organization of collaborative projects.

A trip to the Hirkan National Park was organized for the guests by the Institute of Botany to get acquainted with the flora of Azerbaijan.
