The next meeting of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Botany of the Ministry of Science and Education of  AR was held.

 The general director of the institute, doctor of biological sciences, Professor Sayyara Ibadullayeva opened the meeting and informed the council members about the issues on the agenda.

According to the agenda, the annual reports on the scientific research work of the Department of Systematics and Biodiversity, the Laboratory of Systematics and Geography of Higher Plants, the Laboratory of Algology and Lichenobryology, the Herbary Department and the Mycology Department were heard. In a particular order, doctor of biological sciences, Aydin Askerov, Ph.D. in biology, Rashad Salimov, Ph.D. in biology, Shekar Mukhtarova, Ph.D. in biology, Parvana Karakhani and doctor of biological sciences, Dilzare Aghayeva made a presentation on the results of the scientific-research works conducted in 2022.

The speakers gave detailed information about the scientific research conducted in the current year, their main results, published scientific works, the number of references, personnel training, participation of laboratory employees in local and foreign scientific events, and activities in the social sphere.

Questions arising from the reports were answered and extensive discussions were held. In the end, the reports were adopted unanimously.
