A memorandum on cooperation was signed between the Institute of Botany of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Institute of Microbiology of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan. The memorandum was signed by the General Director of the Institute of Botany, doctor of biological sciences, Professor Sayyare Ibadullayeva, and the Director of the Institute of Microbiology (Uzbekistan), Professor Kahramon Davranov. According to the document, in the future it is envisaged to conduct joint research works, exchange experience of personnel, personnel training, conduct scientific events and establish cooperation in other fields.

Within the framework of the memorandum, the head of the Department of Experimental Botany of the Institute of Botany, PhD in biology, associate professor Aladdin Gadimov was on a business trip to the Institute of Microbiology of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan. During the meeting, opportunities for expanding scientific cooperation and conducting joint research with Uzbek scientists were discussed. The scientist got acquainted with the scientific research works carried out in the departments and laboratories of the institution, and also gave brief information about the problems, directions and topics carried out in the structural units of the Botany Institute, and made a presentation on the results of the researches carried out in the Experimental Botany Department.
