The discussion was conducted about biology subject curriculum which is being improved by the Institute of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Appropriate experts from the Ministry of Science and Education of AR Botany, Physiology, Zoology Institutes, State Examination Center, Baku State University, Baku Engineering University, Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University, Sumgayit State University and Khazar University participated at the event.
After commemorating the memory of those who died as a result of the earthquake in Turkey, PhD in chemistry Rufat Azizov, the director of the Institute of Education, made an introductory speech, greeted the participants of the event, and gave brief information about the reforms made in the subject curricula in recent years. Later, Mansur Maharramov, head of the Department of Educational Standards and Programs, presented the working group to the audience, giving information about the improvement process carried out in the field of content.
Associate professor, PhD in biology Rashad Salimov, PhD in biology, associate professor Nuri Movsumova, PhD in biology Aydan Zeynalova and PhD in biology Nigar Murselgizi of the Institute of Botany of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan participated as experts in the discussion of the biology subject curriculum and presented an expert opinion on the subject curriculum.
The member of the working group, PhD in biology Rashad Salimov, informed the participants about the innovations in the curriculum of the subject of biology, which are being improved during the discussion. After the presentation, the opinions and suggestions of the participants were heard and the meeting continued in the format of mutual discussion. At the end of the meeting, the deputy director of the Institute of Education, Ulkar Babayeva, added her thoughts to the main points discussed and emphasized that this process is a part of major educational reforms.
