The meeting was attended by the management of the institute, members of the council and scientists.

The meeting was opened by the chairman of the Scientific Council, professor Sayyara Ibadullayeva, who brought the issues on the agenda to the attention of the meeting participants.

First, professor Sayyara Ibadullayeva congratulated Aydin Asgarov, head of the Systematics and Biodiversity Department on behalf of the institute staff, on the occasion of his 75th anniversary, then congratulated Dr. Fatmakhanim Nabiyeva, leading scientific worker of the Ethnobotany Department, on the occasion of her 65th anniversary and awarded them with the Institute’s Honorary Order.

At the meeting, the results of the scientific activities of the Institute’s researchers over the past 5 years were discussed and it was recommended to pay special attention to the publication of articles in international indexed scientific journals.

A discussion was held on changing the name of the Mycology Department of the Institute and making relevant changes in the structure of department.

Later, other issues arising from the agenda were considered and appropriate decisions were made.

In conclusion, Professor Sayyara Ibadullayeva concluded the meeting and announced certain tasks and recommendations in the direction of fulfilling the main tasks for the future.
