The international scientific-practical conference dedicated to the 100th anniversary of National Leader Heydar Aliyev on “Modern approaches in the study of the plant kingdom” at the Institute of Botany, Ministry of Science and Education ended with the closing ceremony.

General Director of the Institute of Botany, prof. Sayyara Ibadullayeva thanked the guests, local and foreign conference participants.

Senior researcher of the Department of Mycology of the M.G. Kholodny Institute of botany, NAS of Ukraine, Dr. professor Nina Bisko,  Head of the Agency of Plant Protection and Quarantine of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sevarkhon Khodjayeva, Head of Pharmacognosy Department of Azerbaijan Medical University, professor Javanshir Isayev, corresponding member of ANAS Panah Muradov and executive director of the Institute of Botany, Dr. prof. Shakir Gasimov and others thanked and appreciated the work of the conference.

The international conference at the Institute of Botany created conditions for the establishment of new cooperative relations. The signing of memorandums on cooperation with the Institute of Botany of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan and M.G. Kholodny Institute of botany, NAS of Ukraine were one of the next successes of the Institute of Botany.

Abstracts of reports presented at the conference were published in book format. Certificates were presented to those who made scientific presentations.

The event ended with the participants’ visit to the Gala Archaeological-Ethnographic Museum Complex and a banquet by the sea.
