A regular meeting of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Botany of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Azerbaijan Republic was held. Opening the meeting with an introductory speech, the General Director of the Institute, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor Sayyara Ibadullaeva, informed the council members about the issues on the agenda.

The meeting discussed the main scientific results achieved by the departments and laboratories of the Institute within the framework of the thematic plan for 2023, as well as preparation for the annual report.

The results of admission to doctoral and dissertation programs at the Institute of Botany for the preparation of doctors of philosophy and science for the 2023-2024 academic year have been reported.

In conclusion, in accordance with instructions received from the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, events planned for 2024 were discussed.

The meeting of the Council ended with a discussion of current issues.
