On November 8-9, an expedition to the southeast of the Greater Caucasus was organized within the framework of the international autumn school of young scientists dedicated to the "Year of Heydar Aliyev" organized by the Institute of Botany.

Forest ecosystems were inspected during the expedition. Young biologists and foreign guests were informed by the scientists of the Institute of Botany about the main forest-forming plants (beech, oak, and hornbeam), rare and endangered species, seasonal changes in plant and mushroom diversity in the forest massif.

Finally, a banquet was organized in Shamakhi for young scientists on the occasion of Victory Day, and the event ended.
