General Director of the Institute of Botany, MSE RA, doctor of biological sciences, professor Sayyara Ibadullayeva got acquainted with the activities carried out towards protecting greenery in the territory of the Central Botanical Garden under the Baku City Executive Authority.

Natig Allahverdiyev, deputy chairman of the Board of the Central Botanical Garden and acting chairman, informed Sayyara Ibadullayeva about the works carried out to enrich the plant collections and improve the landscape design in the territory of the Garden.

He said that currently, in the territory of the Garden, under the new project, work is being carried out at an accelerated pace to plant various species of new trees and create corners with a modern design. He emphasized that with the participation of the Scientific Commission management established under the Central Botanical Garden and employees of the Garden, the planting of new magnolia, viburnum, photinia and other species of plants was started in the experimental areas, and regular agrotechnical maintenance measures were carried out in order to increase the fertility of the soil and create the necessary moisture environment in the green areas.
