The Institute's management, members of the Scientific Council, heads of departments and laboratories took part in the event.

Before the Scientific Council began its work, the dear memory of the martyrs was commemorated with a minute of silence.

The chairman of the scientific council, general director of the Institute of Botany, professor Sayyara Ibadullayeva opened the meeting with an introductory speech and sincerely congratulated the team on the occasion of September 20 State Sovereignty Day.

 Then the Scientific Council started its work. Scientific secretary of the Institute, PhD Nigar Mursal brought the issues on the agenda to the attention of the meeting participants. Information was provided on the results of the admission to the Doctorate and Dissertation courses of the Institute of Botany for the 2023-2024 academic year, and the topics of the candidates whose documents were submitted were discussed.

The meeting continues with the discussions around the final preparations for the compilation of the "Flora and Vegetation of Karabakh" dedicated to the flora of Karabakh. Professor Ibadullayeva congratulated Bika Guliyeva, a researcher of the Experimental Botany Department of the Institute of Botany, on the occasion of her 70th anniversary and wished her a long life and good health.

In the end, other issues on the agenda were discussed with council members and unanimous decisions were made.
