On September 27, 2024, meeting of the Dissertation Council ED 1.26 operating under the Institute of Botany, MSE RA was held. The meeting chaired by Dr., professor Sayyara Ibadullayeva, chairman of the Dissertation Council was held to defense the dissertation submitted by the Institute’s dissertator Shahla Mirzaeva to obtain the scientific degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Biology in the specialty 2417.01 – “Botany” on the topic “The current state and dynamics of the flora of the Absheron Peninsula”. The scientific supervisor of the dissertation is Dr., professor of Lomonosov Moscow State University, official opponents are Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor, Corresponding Member of ANAS Magsud Gurbanov, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor Elman Isgander, Doctor of Philosophy in Biology Aytekin Akhundova.

After the scientific secretary of the dissertation council, PhD in biology, associate professor Nuri Movsumova introduced the council members with the documents in her personal file, the floor was given to the claimant.

The claimant gave detailed information about the relevance of the topic, the purpose of the research work, the tasks set and their solutions, and commented on the main provisions of the dissertation work.
