Andrey Viktorovich Tolstikov, Senior Vice-Rector of Tyumen State University, who is visiting our country to participate in the 29th Session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), visited the Institute of Botany, MSERA. The purpose of the business meeting organized as part of the visit was to discuss cooperation opportunities with the Institute of Botany and sign a memorandum. During the meeting, Dr., professor Sayyara Ibadullayeva, general director of the Institute of Botany,  informed the guest about the scientific research directions, international relations, and implemented projects, as well as the prospects for establishing cooperative relations were discussed. The guest highly appreciated the scientific activities of the Institute and emphasized the wide opportunities for mutual exchange of personnel and experience. The scientist visited the Herbarium Fund of the Institute and was interested in the storage conditions of herbarium specimens and with contemporary oriented activities. During the visit, a memorandum on conducting scientific research was signed between Tyumen State University and the Institute of Botany, MSERA.

The memorandum envisages cooperation in the field of science and education, training of highly qualified specialists, application of new technologies, implementation of projects, etc. The document will be important for training young personnel in new scientific directions.
