A seminar on the topic “Heydar Aliyev and the Nature of Azerbaijan” was held at the Institute of Botany, MSERA within the framework of the “Year of Constitution and Sovereignty” dedicated to the 102nd anniversary of the birth of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev.

Opening the event, Director General of the Institute of Botany, Doctor of Sciences, Professor Sayyara Ibadullayeva spoke about the building of a democratic, legal state in Azerbaijan by the National Leader Heydar Aliyev, as well as his unparalleled services in protecting nature and increasing greenery in our independent country.

The professor noted that in the activities of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev, the improvement of the ecological situation, the protection of the environment, and the efficient use of natural resources always held a special place and remained a priority.

Under his leadership, important laws and decisions were adopted in the field of ecology and environmental protection, and major changes were implemented in this area. S.Ibadullayeva particularly emphasized the nature conservation programs implemented in the country under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, who successfully continues the wise policy of the great leader. PhD Nigar Mursal gizi, Dr., professor Aydin Askerov, PhD Nuri Movsumova, Dr. Latafat Mustafayeva and PhD Sadig Garayev spoke about the great and irreplaceable work done by the National Leader for the development of Azerbaijan and the rich legacy he left for the present and future of our country.

At the conclusion of the seminar, a documentary highlighting the life and activity of National Leader Heydar Aliyev was screened. Following this, the collective proceeded to the Alley of Honor and paid respectful tribute to the memory of the National Leader of our people, Heydar Aliyev.
